PE MACHINING

PE (Polyethylene) is a semi-crystalline plastic material with low density There are three grades of polyethylene depending on molecular weight:

PE 300 (PE-HD) has the lowest molecular weight and low moisture absorption. As a material, PE 300 is easy to weld.
PE 500 (PE-HMW): better resistance to abrasion and sliding properties compared to PE 300
PE 1000 (PE-UHMW): better sliding properties and resistance to abrasion compared to PE 500; good electrical insulating, good toughness at low temperatures. PE 1000 can be filled to improve antistatic properties.

Polyethylene is a material suitable for contact with food, and in the case of PE 1000, it is also available with additives to improve its antistatic characteristics.
